I know some of you eHowers also have blogs of your own.   I received notice this morning about a class-action lawsuit against Yahoo.com.  If you own a blog that you have advertised on Yahoo.com before, this lawsuit could affect (benefit) you.

The class-action lawsuit is being handled by a firm called Rust Consulting.   The suit was initiated in 2006 by several of Yahoo’s PPC customers.  The reason: The litigants paid for Yahoo to place their PPC ads in one of two forms: “content match” and “sponsored search,” and they allege that Yahoo! allowed the ads they paid for “to be displayed in spyware, domain name parking sites (also known as bulk registration sites), pop-ups, pop-unders, and typosquatting sites.”

After four mediations, Yahoo (who still denies wrongdoing) has entered into Settlement, to avoid any further loss of time or money.

Who is considered a member of the class-action lawsuit against Yahoo?  Anyone who purchased pay-per-click (PPC) ads from Yahoo or its partners between May 1, 2000 until September 22, 200.

If your company has gone out of business, you are entitled to a $20 refund as a result of the lawsuit.  Get details from the legal representatives’ site.
